StormHarbour now has a presence in five countries with the opening of its office in Hong Kong this month, further extending the firm's global reach and expertise.
The office and StormHarbour's Asia-Pacific business is headed by Water Cheung, Senior Principal and Asia-Pacific CEO, who joined in February 2010 to oversee and drive the firm's growth and development in the region.
Water has over 20-years of trading and investment banking experience in Asia, most recently at Royal Bank of Scotland where he led the regional integration of its global markets business with ABN Amro. He joined RBS in 2007 as Managing Director and Regional Head of Treasury and Emerging Markets from the Development Bank of Singapore, where he was formerly Global Head of Financial Markets and Head of Investment Banking and Treasury for Greater China. Prior to DBS, Water was Managing Director and Head of Trading for non-Japan Asia at CIBC Financial Products in Singapore and Head of Regional Derivatives Trading at Chase Manhattan Bank in Hong Kong
