Shinya Abe

Managing Director: Head of Compliance

Shinya Abe has worked as a Compliance Officer in the financial institutions for over 25 years. He has served 24 years at UBS group companies in Japan most recently as an Executive Director and Head of Fixed Income, Foreign Currencies and Derivatives transactions Compliance team for both UBS Securities Japan Limited and UBS Tokyo branch. He also has been committed to acquire license of Investment management business for Wealth Management business in UBS Japan and to establish Compliance framework for this business.

Shinya started his career at Sanwa bank (current Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ Bank) in 1988 as a credit officer for personal / corporate loans as well as a broker of foreign exchange business.

Shinya obtained BA in Law from Tohoku University.
